Larry Orlando has a knack for leaving an indelible impression. In fact, it’s fair to say the calligrapher and retired math teacher has mastered the art.
“Mr. O is the reason I am a teacher,” said Sean Kenney, a Geibel Catholic Jr/Sr High School 1987 alumnus.
He pushed me to strive for excellence and not settle for just being a “good” math student. Because of him, I did very well on my SATs and got into my dream college – Notre Dame.”
Reaching Each Student

Fr. Bob Lubic lives an unconventional life. The “punk” priest with the pierced ears, tee shirt, and tussled hair doesn’t look the part. And that suits him just fine.
“Being myself is good for evangelization. I look like them so if I’m talking with people, they’re already interacting with me before they put their guard up,” he said.
His ability to connect with youth and people of all ages doesn’t just come from his outward appearance. Whether Fr. Bob is communicating on Facebook, at Mass, while making a hospital visit, or enjoying a meal with friends, he’s able to meet people where they are – because he understands where they’ve been.
